Batch sharpen photosA whole folder, sharpened at once.

Drop in up to thirty photos. Each one is checked on its own and gets its own setting, then you download them all in one ZIP.

Choose several at once, or drag a folder's worth in.

A feather print, sharpened: every barb crisp
The same feather print before: soft and blurry

What this page does

Each file is measured separately — edge acutance, noise, and whether it already carries a sharpening rim — and the amount, radius and threshold are chosen from that reading rather than copied across the folder. Every row reports what it measured and what it applied.

A queue of measurements, not a copied slider

A fixed sharpening amount across unrelated files is usually wrong. This route samples a detailed region in each frame, measures its edge acutance and noise separately, then chooses radius, amount and threshold from that file’s own reading. If the edge profile already contains a sharpening rim, the opening pass is reduced before any full-size work begins.

What the automatic queue deliberately leaves out

  • Motion deconvolution needs a direction and blur length judged on a real edge, so the batch route never guesses them.
  • Output sharpening for a named paper or final resize belongs after the destination size is known; this queue performs creative sharpening only.
  • The automatic result is conservative. A photograph that needs subjective clarity or structure work belongs in the single-picture instrument.
  • Metadata is not carried into the ZIP outputs; the original files remain untouched beside the downloaded archive.
  • Everything here is 8 bits per channel, on every route: a 16-bit file in the queue is reduced on the way in, and a smooth gradient that was going to band will band.
  • A TIFF the browser will not open itself goes through this site's own decoder, in the queue as in the single-picture console.
